Love Paradox Print
Created from the skeleton and taxidermy skin of a single tegu, this piece captures a pose that resembles an embrace but actually mirrors the fierce combat of wild male lizards. It exists in a dual state—simultaneously a complete, unified whole and two independent individuals.
The piece reflects Erich Fromm’s philosophy in The Art of Loving, which states: ”In love the paradox occurs that two beings become one and yet remain two.“ The intertwining of flesh and bone shows that true intimacy is not about one side completely consuming the other‘s individuality to become ”one,“ nor is it about staying completely separate. Instead, the two elements maintain their own uniqueness while remaining fundamentally inseparable.
All formats are printed to archival standards for lasting colour fidelity.
